Course objectives (in Czech)

Cílem kursu je zhodnotit vývoj NATO od skončení studené války do současnosti. Kurs se věnuje oběma rovinám postudenoválečné transformace Aliance: (1) vnitřní reformě institucí a vojenských schopností a (2) vnější transformaci, tedy rozšiřování a budování sítě partnerských vztahů s nečlenskými zeměmi a dalšími bezpečnostními organizacemi. Vzhledem k tomu, že NATO stále představuje nejdůležitější institucionální vyjádření transatlantické vazby, kurz se bude zabývat také širší otázkou současnosti a budoucnosti transatlantických vztahů. Celkovým cílem kursu je zhodnotit, zda byla transformace NATO po studené válce úspěšná a do jaké míry je dnes Aliance ještě relevantní pro evropskou a českou bezpečnost.
