This contribution attempts to present a systematic overview of how the current Czech Law of Obligations, in particular in its general part, reflects the phenomenon of long-term contracts and the need to “control” their longevity (especially by granting the right to terminate the contract, or to demand its termination or adaptation to the party affected)
