Abstract
The article describes the attack of an active shooter in a restaurant in Uherský Brod in the Czech Republic in 2015, during which the attacker killed 8 people and shot himself after the attack. It brings interesting findings in this area and describes the application of the procedures of the Police of the Czech Republic in response to these attacks in the Czech Republic and in Europe, including the concept of survival of the attack and the deployment of first-line patrols. The article contains a view of a doctor from the field of psychiatry on the person of the attacker and psychological aspects of post-traumatic stress disorder of survivors and witnesses of the event.
