Cílem konference bylo postihnout zejména proměnu fungování národního parlamentu jednoho z členských států Evropské unie v návaznosti na „euronovelu“ Ústavy České republiky přijatou ústavním zákonem č. 395/2001 Sb., závazky vyplývajících ze smlouvy o přistoupení, včetně zkušeností s konáním prvního celostátního referenda k vyslovení souhlasu s ratifikací těchto smluv, dále na závěry Lisabonské smlouvy zdůrazňují nezastupitelnou roli národních parlamentů v evropských rozhodovacích procesech, stejně jako následnou novelu jednacích řádů upravující projednávání evropské agendy na půdě obou komor Parlamentu České republiky.

In English

The aim of the conference was to affect the transformation of the functioning of the national parliament of one of the member states of the European Union following the "Euro-amendment" of the Constitution of the Czech Republic adopted by Constitutional Act No. 395/2001 Coll., the obligations arising from the accession treaty, including the experience of holding the first nationwide referendum consent to the ratification of these treaties, further to the conclusions of the Treaty of Lisbon, they emphasize the irreplaceable role of national parliaments in European decision-making processes, as well as the subsequent amendment of the rules of procedure governing the discussion of the European agenda in both chambers of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.
