Prerequisites

The course offers students an overview of the basic activities of the state and the security and rescue components of the integrated rescue system of the Czech Republic. Students will learn to understand the main theoretical concepts associated with the activities of units at the scene of an intervention and event, activities at all management levels of units (strategic, operational and tactical) and risks within the internal security of the state.

The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The subject offers students an overview of the basic activities of the state and the integrated security and rescue components rescue system of the Czech Republic. Students will learn to understand the main theoretical concepts associated with the activity of components on place of intervention and event, activities at all management levels of components (strategic, operational and tactical) and risks within internal security of the state. Other issues related to the protection of the population and management in crisis situations and during crisis events, investigation of their causes, etc. are part of the teaching. By graduating, students will deepen their knowledge at the same time knowledge and skills especially in the area of ​​warning, notification, evacuation, hiding, emergency survival, individual and collective protection of the population, decontamination, etc. Furthermore, students will master the field of health care, they will acquire basic information on the area of ​​international health regulations and their implementation in the Czech Republic, pandemic plans and standard plans, tasks and powers of public health protection authorities in preparing for crisis situations and their solutions. Theoretical knowledge will then be able to be verified and compared during the excursion in practice. After successfully completing the course, students will understand the broad context of current events and will be able to apply theoretical knowledge about prediction, speech, management and coordination of rescue activities at the site of the intervention and event.
