Prerequisites
The course offers students a detailed overview of methods and tools for managing the process of ensuring the security of the Czech Republic in various states of the strategic and security environment, including its institutional implementation. Students will learn to understand the main theoretical concepts of security management (management theory, strategic management, operational management, crisis management) and the use of standard tools in their practical implementation within security institutions and systems, and will be able to apply these theoretical concepts in further process optimization ensuring security in the Czech Republic and in the contemporary world.

The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
After successfully completing the course, students will understand the broad context of current events in the field of security and the processes of current and future optimization of the activity of security institutions and systems in a national and international context.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- orient yourself in security management and its procedural, institutional, legal and resource framework
- describe and know strategic management, operational management
- be able to apply your knowledge to strategic security planning
- create security strategies
- to know and control operational safety planning
- optimize security systems and systems for solving crisis and exceptional situations in ensuring security
- optimize systems for dealing with the effects of hybrid threats in ensuring security and further optimize international security systems

Teaching methods
Prezentace obsahu jednotlivých tematických modulů s využitím přednášek pro prezenční studium v MS PwP a diskuse k jejích obsahu. Předpokládá se, že studenti se s obsahem přednášek seznámí předem a připraví si případné dotazy ke konzultaci.
