- Course objectives
- The course should provide students with an understanding of integration processes in Europe and their economic aspects. The emphasis is on the functioning of the common market.. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to understand the historical development of the European integration and institutional structure of the EU, explain the theories and concepts behind the economic integration, describe policies implemented within the Common Market, identifycurrent difficulties of Eurozone, critically asses outcomes of the EU membership and integration for businesses and thus provide students with insights useful for their future career

Class 2 History and basic principles of EU
Class 3 EU Laws, institutions and decision making. EU budget.
Class 4 Economic integration, common market, trade policy and regulation
Class 5 Labor markets and migration
Class 6 Common Agricultural Policy
Class 7 EU competition policy and state aid.
Class 8 EU Industrial Policies, selected industries, innovation
Class 9 Economic and Monetary Union
Class 11 Fiscal Policies, EMU and the stability pact
Class 12 The capital markets and the euro
Class 13 EU Enlargements and recent problems in the enlarged EU.
