The course is only offered to the students of the study fields the course is directly associated with.
Course objectives
The course shall take the participants through the basics of intellectual property law, including protection of business names, unfair competition, trade secret protection, industrial property rights and copyright. Besides the national regulation, international treaties and European law are explained, including application thereof in the Czech Republic and its enforcement. Also, the course is focused on practical use of databases and publicly available information, commentary is mixed with practical examples and warnings on the use of individual rights in business practice, but also by employees or charitable organizations.
