Prerequisites

Students of the course will learn about the basics of forensic science, especially the multi-disciplinary field of criminology, which describes the criminal environment, the perpetrator and the scene of the crime. Students will be able to master the basic actions during a crime, they will know criminalistic traces and the sequence of arrests at the scene of the crime, as well as interrogation methods, techniques and stages of investigation of cases by the police, the public prosecutor and the judge. Furthermore, they will be able to qualify the offender's actions according to the Criminal Code. Students will deepen their practical argumentation skills in this area of disciplines. As part of the course, they will be thoroughly familiar with and theoretically and argumentatively handle the issues of forensic psychology, criminalistic methodology, tactics and techniques. They will also know the psychology and sociology of crime, forensic medicine taught by a leading expert and head of forensic medicine, then criminal law, the criminal environment, forms of interrogation and case studies of characteristic cases.

The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Students will get to know the basics of forensic science, especially the multi-disciplinary field of criminology, which he thoroughly describes criminal environment, perpetrators and crime scene. Students will be able to handle basic tasks in the documentation of a crime, they will know forensic traces and the order of securing traces at the crime scene, as well as interrogation methods, techniques and the stages of investigation of cases by the police authority, the public prosecutor and the judge. At the same time, they will be able to qualify negotiations offenders according to the Criminal Code. Students will deepen their practical argumentation skills in this area of ​​the discipline.
Learning outcomes
The learning outcomes represent specific professional knowledge (theoretical/declarative knowledge), skills (application of knowledge) and general competences (transferable skills/soft skills), which the graduate should acquire during the course of studying the subject. They capture the minimum standard that every successful graduate of the subject must achieve. The learning outcome is formulated in such a way that it is measurable and verifiable during student evaluation. The ideal number of outputs is between 3 - 5. Individual categories of skills, knowledge or general abilities and their level are expressed using a verb that states what the student will be able to do after completing the subject.
