Prerequisites (in Czech)
This course envisions political and media frameworks and perspectives in the contemporary world as a reflective process for scholars and students. It provides with understanding of pivotal priorities regarding modern political sphere. The main goal of the course is to figure out global political and media outlines. The tutor examines the creation and development of leading political and media flows, and, to be more certain, the media state in existing political conditions and its current transition. A peculiar attention is focused on media globalization and manipulation affected by the contemporary political priorities. Also, the issue of media rights and responsibilities in existing political conditions looks very important for investigation of modern political and media trends. Finally, the tutor examines new media outlines related to the BRICS countries and its influence on the world. November 20th - 24th

  • The main topics to be envisaged:
  • 1. Can information generate information society?
  • 2. Media globalization and its evolution in the modern world;
  • 3. The information policy and its current development;
  • 4. Journalism process in the contemporary media;
  • 5. Media responsibility: problems of existence;
  • 6. The BRICS media trend: can it be a global alternative to the traditional info market?
