Cíle předmětu
The course introduces students to the economic and political dilemmas of globalization and their manifestations in various areas of life. It teaches students to identify long-term trends in the development of society and use basic knowledge of economics to understand these trends.
Výstupy z učení
After completing this course, students will be able to
  • identify and analyze the various manifestations of economic and political globalization,
  • understand the impact of the functioning of markets on human well-being,
  • identify political and non-political obstacles to globalization,
  • understand the dynamics of economic and political processes that characterize the contemporary world.

    Active participation in classes, seminar work + presentation, final written test, exam Grading will be based on the total score out of 50 points: 5 points - presence in class (lectures and seminars can be switched, sometimes during the afternoon I will record your attendance) 5 points - quizzes, home assignments 15 points – essay + presentation 5 points - feedback to someone else's presentation 15 points - test from the security part (December) 5 points – online oral exam (last week of the semester/ January) Extra points can be given (abstracts of interesting relevant texts, constructive classroom discussion) Final grade: A - 91-100% (45,5-50 points) B - 81-90% (40,5-45 points) C - 71-80% (35,5-40 points) D - 61-70% (30,5-35 points) E - 51-60% (25,5-30 points)
